Animal Crossing: New Horizons' English manga will be published soon

Three months after it was announced that the comic book licensed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be adapted, the publisher VIZ Media provided the official cover of the comic book. The first manga adaptation in the history of the Animal Crossing series to be translated into English will be available on September 14 this year and is currently available for pre-order.

Although the companion comics of the Animal Crossing game have been part of the franchise history for some time, which is not surprising considering that the game is very popular in Japan, these companion comics have never been officially translated or published in English. Series fans who cannot speak or read Japanese have to rely entirely on unlicensed fan translations, which are often difficult to find and are often subject to copyright laws. Therefore, VIZ Media, the company behind the official comic series, announced in February that the accompanying comics for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be translated into English and released on September 14, 2021, which is surprising.

The manga series was serialized and published in Japan's CoroCoro Comic according to tradition, and then compiled and released as a single book in July 2020. In addition, according to the published pictures, this manga will maintain the traditional right-to-left reading order typical of Japanese printing, rather than as many official translations before.

The move to bring the comic series to the West may have rekindled the players' recent declining enthusiasm for the game, but unfortunately, it did not achieve this effect. Many fans now believe that this game is outdated and has a lower comparable replay value than the previous Animal Crossing game. This may be the decisive factor in VIZ's first localized comic adaptation for Western audiences in its history. The manga does not follow a specific overall storyline but has a deeper understanding of the lives of game villagers, as well as tips and tricks on how to make the most of the game.

Although some players feel that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is outdated, there are still many fans who have always liked ACNH Items and ACNH Bells.
